Carter's quilt

This is the back of Carter's quilt.
This is the front of Carter's (Danny's Daughter's) quilt that I made this weekend on the beach in Mexico.  I used the fabric line called Rainy Days and Mondays.  I should have probably turned the pictures.  I need to get this quilted before this weekend.  She is being blessed on Sunday.  Another quilt almost done that was on my goal list.  Woo Hoo!!!

I hand quilted this Frolic panel and gave this blanket to David and Diane's baby Jayde

Close-up view of the apron.....Too Cute!!!

Can you believe it.....Yes, more Christmas aprons. These were for Joleen and her girls.

These are the aprons I made for Jennifer and her girls for Christmas.

These are Ryan's girls modeling their Christmas gifts. I made two more for Justice and Hope, Ryan's new daughters. They were out of town visiting their father's for Christmas vacation.

I like the quilting it is kinda in a diamond shape. It was lots of fun.

This is the label for Alyssa's quilt.

My latest finish....This is a quilt I made for my Granddaughter Alyssa. As it turns out I was able to give it to her the day she was baptized.

The New "A" word

Well most people don't know and will probably never know that Apron is an "A" Word, at least in my sewing room. I seriously do not know what possessed me to decide to make aprons.  I made 7 for our family reunion in September and then suddenly decided to make some for Christmas.  I made 4 for Jennifer and her girls, 5 for Mari and her girls and just completed 3 for Joleen and her girls.  I still have one more to make for Julie, but she is a patient daughter-in-law, I hope.  So I think that makes a total of 20.  Next time I get this crazy idea or one like it, someone please remind me of my insanity.

I am anxiously preparing for our sister's retreat at Moms this next weekend. I have blocks cut for the block of the month I am doing (Tucson quilt store) and I have sorted the layer cake fabric into a somewhat cutting plan.  I will also take the glace block of the months incase I get these done.

My applique block of the month (Benson Quilt Store) is coming along well.  I just finished cutting and pressing the 11th block and hope to do the 12th tomorrow.  Then sandwiching and blanket stitching around 10 of them.  It is so incredibly gorgeous.  I think applique will not be an (A) word in my sewing room.  It is actually fun.  I am looking forward to learning how to put them together, as it is a quilt as you go.  The incredible part if that there is sashing inbetween the blocks.

After I get back from Mom's, I want to finish Allysa's quilt in time for her baptism the first weekend in March.
